Missing your pick-up time because of a delayed flight can be stressful, especially when you need to rent a car at Alicante airport or car hire Malaga airport. At SOLO rent a car, we want to help you avoid losing your reservation. Here’s what you need to know.
What is NO SHOW? According to SOLO rent a car’s Terms & Conditions, if you do not pick up the vehicle at the reserved date/time or within the courtesy period (grace period) and you haven’t informed us of your delay, the reservation will be marked as NO SHOW.
How long is the grace period? SOLO rent a car will hold the reserved vehicle for 120 minutes after the scheduled pick-up time. If you don’t arrive or notify us within that time, it’s considered NO SHOW.
Refunds for NO SHOW? Once the rental period starts, or if NO SHOW occurs, no refund is possible. Even if your flight is delayed, if you fail to inform us, the booking can be lost.
As soon as you know your flight will be delayed, please email us at support@sologroup.net with your booking number, the new estimated arrival time, and any supporting info (flight number, expected landing time).
You can also call us via our support lines. Being proactive helps us keep your reservation valid.
When making your reservation, factor in potential delays: international flights, connections, delays in customs. Better to pick a later pick-up slot if your arrival is uncertain.
Avoid booking the car too close to late evening if you know your flight may arrive at or past closing hours. Offices may not be open, or staff may not be able to wait.
Check the airport car hire or rent a car office hours in Málaga or Alicante and choose a time comfortably within those hours.
If you arrive within the 120-minute grace period, and you have informed us, we will do our best to have the car ready for you. Your reservation should be honored—provided all documents are in order.
If you arrive after that grace period without notification: NO SHOW applies. You risk losing the car or the reservation.
Choose a pick-up time that gives you buffer if your flight is delayed.
Always check the grace period (120 minutes) in the contract.
