The deposit is charged in euros and returned in euros.

How the Deposit Is Returned

The deposit is charged to a credit or debit card and returned after the rental agreement is closed. According to the terms of the agreement, the deposit refund may take up to 30 days, but usually it is returned within one to two weeks.

What Happens to the Deposit if the Car Is Damaged

When you return the car to SOLO rent a car, our agents inspect the car's condition. Some damages are not considered upon car return, except for very noticeable damages or those that may affect the commercial operation of the car.

Allowable damages include chips, scratches, and dents with a diameter of less than 1 cm, as well as multiple damages in an area of less than 10 cm². If damages exceed these parameters and were not recorded when the car was rented, depending on their nature, the insurance provided by the chosen booking package – BASIC or PREMIUM+ – will be used. If the insurance cannot cover the costs, part of the deposit will be used.
