Pick-Up Instructions
When you arrive at Malaga Airport, head to the SOLO Rent a Car office to pick up your vehicle. Make sure you have all the necessary documents (detailed below) ready to present to expedite the process.
Drop-Off Instructions
Returning your car is straightforward. Here’s what you need to know:
- Standard Returns: Return the car to the same location at Av. del Comandante García Morato 50 during office hours (Mon-Fri: 8:00-20:00, Sat-Sun: 9:00-18:00).
- Out of Hours Returns: If you need to return the car outside of office hours, you can leave it at EASY Parking located at Av. del Comandante García Morato 20. Leave the keys with the reception desk, and they will arrange a transfer to the airport terminal for you.
Required Documents
To collect your rental vehicle, you must present the following original documents:
- Reservation Number or Voucher: This confirms your booking details.
- ID/NIE/Valid Passport: A valid identification document is mandatory.
- Valid Driver's License: A current type B driver’s license is required. Note that provisional or learner licenses, digital copies, QR codes, or image copies are not accepted. The same requirements apply to additional drivers.
Payment and Deposits
- Deposit: A deposit of 1150€ is required at the time of vehicle pick-up. This can be paid using a credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express) in the main driver’s name. Cash, mobile applications, bank cheques, prepaid cards, and bank transfers are not accepted.
- Payment Methods: Ensure your credit card is in the main driver’s name to avoid any issues.
Fuel Policy
SOLO Rent a Car operates on a Full to Full fuel policy. This means you receive the car with a full tank and must return it with a full tank. Failure to do so will incur charges for the missing fuel plus a refueling fee of 19€.
Age and Driver Requirements
- Minimum Age: 21 years with at least 12 months of driving experience. Drivers aged 21-25 will incur a Young Driver fee.
- Luxury & Sports Vehicles: Minimum age for renting these vehicles is 26+.
Mileage Policy
For most vehicle groups, SOLO Rent a Car offers unlimited mileage, ensuring you can explore without worrying about additional costs. However, certain vehicle groups have specific mileage limits, so be sure to check the terms that apply to your rental.
Grace Period and Late Returns
- Grace Period: A 120-minute grace period is allowed past the estimated pick-up time during office hours. After this period, if no contact has been made, the reservation may be marked as a NO SHOW.
- Late Returns: Returning the car up to 60 minutes late incurs no charge. Returns between 60 minutes and 2 hours late will be charged the price of one rental day. Delays of over 2 hours will incur a fee of 50€ plus the price of one rental day.
Cancellation and Modification Policies
- Basic Package: Cancellation more than 48 hours in advance incurs a 30% fee plus 50€ processing. Less than 48 hours' notice incurs the same fee. No refunds are provided for NO SHOWs.
- Premium+ Package: Free cancellation more than 48 hours in advance. Less than 48 hours' notice incurs a 30% fee plus 50€ processing. No refunds for NO SHOWs.

Before driving away, it’s wise to:
- Inspect the Vehicle: Compare the existing damages noted in the contract with the actual condition of the car. Report any discrepancies to the staff immediately.
- Document the Condition: Take photos or videos of the car for your records.
